fun at the zoo!

ooh.. what's that climbing precariously high up in the tree???
this is my first trip to, ahem, the singapore zoological gardens! let's call it the zoo for short!
i think mama is more excited than me. she was so happy last night, telling me that she and papa are going to bring me to the zoo...

seriously, i think mama enjoyed the zoo a lot more than me. think the main things i saw were...
a) white tigers (did you know that tigers are only found in Asia???)
b) giraffes
c) two enormous elephants! (they actually walked right past us!)
d) orangutans! (mama loves ah-meng... but we didn't see her...)
e) one huge polar bear (merrily taking a swim in her tank)
f) huge tortoises! (and i mean, huge!)

and lots of other animals.... but these were the ones that were obvious enough for me to notice, since i was in my stoller most of the time.

my new found 'toy' - mama's hairbrush!

i'm actually in the car, on the way to port dickson! we're going for church camp! yay!
this is my first ever trip to malaysia...
if you can see, i'm holding a little hairbrush in my left hand. i recently learned how to "comb my hair", and mama passed me her hairbrush for me to have a little fun and entertain myself on the long car ride...

this is my xiao yi (small auntie)... and i think she's here to babysit me while mama and papa go pak-tor-ing...
by the way, this is one of mama's favourite romper. xiao yi bought it, and it says "i'm mommy's breast friend"!

my first encounter with an insect - a cricket, for that matter!

in case you can't see what this pic is all about... mama actually tried to take a shot of me and papa checking out the little cricket that had somehow found its way into our house! to cut a long story short.. mama saw the cricket (and being terrified of insects) and wanted to ask papa to try getting rid of it. in the end, she decided that she shouldn't "pass" her fear of insects on to me. afterall, i AM a boy! hahaha.
so, she asked papa to let me "play" with it so that i wouldn't be afraid of creepy crawlies when i grow up.
and you can tell from the pic... i AM intrigued by this jumping little thing...
in fact, i tried touching it too! but oops, think i was too excited... cause guess what happened? (scroll down to see the next pic...)

i accidentally squashed (and i actually mean, killed it!) it in my excitement...
oops.. sorry, mr jiminy cricket! l
ooks like i ended up getting rid of it for mama.. heh. *sheepish grin*

at tati audrey and ton ton yann's house

that's me (looking not too pleased or excited...) to be held by my tati audrey and ton ton yann... (fyi, "tati" is french for "aunt" and "ton ton" is french for "uncle"!)
